MIPS Brain Protection System™ Partners with Rossignol to Create Safer Snow Helmets
Flavien Foucher Rossignol’s Equipment product manager: “Rossignol commitment since the birth of the brand in 1907, is to bring the most innovative and technical product to the market. Our customers’ experience, comfort, pleasure and security has always been our main focus. The helmet industry has seen a lot of technical improvements in the last decade, in-mould helmets, Epp multi-impact foams, hybrid constructions, all with the same goal, to improve the user’s safety. MIPS is a natural evolution and the extra step towards increased security. We are delighted to be working with MIPS this season joining a portfolio of world leading helmet brands and look forward to ANOTHER BEST DAY”
The Pursuit is an ultra-lightweight helmet designed to keep all-mountain skiers comfortable and safe. The RH2, the latest All Snow helmet from Rossignol, is an extremely lightweight product, weighing only 420G in it’s MIPS version, that complies with both CE 1077:2007 and ASTM 2040 norms. It features an in-mould construction, and both passive and active ventilation (with a foldable padding).
“We have partnered with Rossignol because of their dedication to inspired design and technology,” says Niklas Steenberg, MIPS CEO. “MIPS is the only brain protection system in the world to offer a higher safety standard in snow sports and protect against rotational forces that can cause damage to the brain when the head is impacted.”
The Rossignol helmets will be on display the Rossignol booth at SIA in Denver (Booth 3719), January 31st–February 3rd and at ISPO in Munich (Hall A1 Booth 200), February 3–6.
