The Mips® Evolve Pro system is an injection-molded low-friction layer, that is attached to the helmet using the harness system and front padding. With this solution Mips addresses key areas of comfort such as sweat management and ventilation. The low-friction layer allows a relative movement between the head and helmet to help reduce rotational motion to the head in certain angled impacts.
Construction is one of the most dangerous industries. Workers are exposed to dangers such as falling objects, slips, trips, and falls, which can result in serious consequences including traumatic brain injuries (TBIs). When a helmet is impacted at an angle, it can cause the head to rotate suddenly and violently. This is a common source of concussions and brain injury.

In an accident where the helmet is impacted, the Mips Evolve Pro system is designed to move 10-15mm inside the helmet to help redirect rotational forces away from the head. This is intended to help reduce the risk of brain injury. The system is specifically developed for safety helmets to meet the demands of industrial worksites, while also offering increased comfort and ventilation.
